How To Stick To Your Goals

As we are finally in 2021 creating and setting new goals is something many people participate in. We are breaking down the best tips to create and stick to your goals.


#1) Brainstorm Think of all the things you would like to accomplish in the next little while. Are these goals daily habits? Or maybe you are creating a long-term plan. However big or small your goals are, write them down.


#2) Get Specific After you have an idea of what you want to accomplish, get specific. The more detailed and thorough you are, the better chance you are of reaching your goals because you are creating a measurable milestone. For example, instead of writing down "I want to workout more", get detailed and write "I will workout a minimum of 5 days a week, the workouts can be from 15-45 minutes or longer."


#3) Break it Down Now that you have found some goals you want to accomplish over the next year, break them down into small tasks. Continuing with the workout example, creating smaller tasks makes it easier to achieve, perhaps every night you set up your workout clothes and water bottle by your bed, or maybe you schedule your workouts each week in your calendar like an appointment. These are smaller steps that help you get to your end goal.


#4) Enlist A Buddy Chat with your loved ones, do they have the same goals? Or maybe you just need someone to check in and keep you accountable. Enlist a friend or family member to either join you on this journey or be the voice of reason when you think about giving up.

#5) Be Mindful At the end of the day, you know what you are capable of and we believe it is a lot. Just remember when creating your goals be mindful of how the end result will make you feel. Will you be happy once there? Will you feel even more excited to push through and grow? Pay attention to your thoughts and feelings when creating your new year goals.
